Below are lessons from our Key Stage 3 French Scheme of Work which are dedicated to longer, challenging texts.  The activities in these week balance personal, emotional, and imaginative engagement with explicit focus on vocabulary and grammar. Pre-, during-, and post-reading/listening tasks are designed to sustain the students' interest and to be meaningful, making understanding the text essential to providing an answer to the task.  The activities include an element of challenge and encourage the evaluation of language use in context.
